     Dorothy Caroline Pepys was born on 18 June 1879.1 She was the daughter of Hon. Walter Courtenay Pepys and Amy Harriet Thompson.2 She married Lt.-Col. Herbert Hastings Harington, son of Herbert Baring Harington, on 17 June 1909.1 She died on 16 December 1969 at age 90.1
     From 17 June 1909, her married name became Harington.

     Lt.-Col. Herbert Hastings Harington was the son of Herbert Baring Harington.2 He married Dorothy Caroline Pepys, daughter of Hon. Walter Courtenay Pepys and Amy Harriet Thompson, on 17 June 1909.1 He died in 1916, killed in action.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1

     General Sir Charles Henry Pepys Harington was born on 5 May 1910.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Herbert Hastings Harington and Dorothy Caroline Pepys.2 He married Victoire Marion Williams-Freeman, daughter of Lt.-Col. Arthur Peere Williams-Freeman, on 21 March 1942.1 He died on 13 February 2007 at age 96.3
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.1 He was awarded the Knight Officer, Order of Orange-Nassau of Holland in 1945 with swords.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1953.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1957.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the 3rd Division between 1959 and 1961.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1961.1 He was Colonel of the Cheshire Regiment between 1962 and 1968.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Middle East Command between 1963 and 1965.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1964.1 He was Colonel-Commandant of the Prince of Wales's Division between 1968 and 1971.1 He was Chief of Personnel, Ministry of Defence between 1968 and 1971.3 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1969.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1970 and 1979.1

     James Stopford was the son of William Stopford and Mary ffarington.1 He married, secondly, Mary Forth, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Robert Forth.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Morewood, daughter of John Morewood and Grace Hurst, on 15 April 1647 at Bradfield, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He died on 18 March 1685.1
