     Major George Goodwin King Peake was born on 13 March 1909.² He was the son of Colonel Arthur George Peake and Muriel Stuart King.^1,2 He married Mary Adela Clerk, daughter of Arthur Stanley Clerk and Edith Maud Sheffield, on 24 August 1935.^1,2 He died on 4 March 1972 at age 62.²
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)¹

     Sir James Clerk of Penicuik, 7th Bt. was born on 17 July 1812.² He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir George Clerk of Penicuik, 6th Bt. and Maria Anne Law.² He married Jane Calvert Henderson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Mercer Henderson, on 26 June 1851.² He died on 17 November 1870 at age 58 at Clifton, Bristol, England^G.³
     He gained the rank of Captain Commandant in the 3rd Midlothian Volunteers, formerly 9th Lancers.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Midlothian.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Midlothian.² He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Clerk, of Penicuik, Edinburgh [N.S., 1679] on 23 December 1867.¹

     George Edward Clerk was born on 4 September 1850.¹ He was the son of George Edward Clerk and Marie Louise Elizabeth Dupuis.² He married, firstly, Henrietta Davignon on 12 January 1875.¹ He married, secondly, Regina Renois, daughter of F. X. Renois, in 1889.¹ He died on 29 September 1906 at age 56.¹

     Henrietta Davignon married George Edward Clerk, son of George Edward Clerk and Marie Louise Elizabeth Dupuis, on 12 January 1875.¹ She died in 1889.¹
     From 12 January 1875, her married name became Clerk.¹

     George Edward Clerk was born in 1877.¹ He was the son of George Edward Clerk and Henrietta Davignon.² He married Annie Manny, daughter of Eugene Manny, in 1903.¹ He died on 15 November 1938.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He graduated with a Master of Surgery (C.M.)¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹

     Annie Manny is the daughter of Eugene Manny.² She married George Edward Clerk, son of George Edward Clerk and Henrietta Davignon, in 1903.¹
