     Philip Haughton was born in December 1700.2 He was the son of Jonathan Hawtayne and Mary Dehaney.2 He married Catherine Tharpe, daughter of Joseph Tharpe, in 1735.2 He died on 22 February 1765 at age 64.2

     Sir Philip Haughton Clarke, 8th Bt. was born in 1761.1 He was the son of Sir Simon Clarke, 7th Bt. and Anne Haughton.1 He died on 12 May 1798, unmarried.1 His will was proven (by probate) in June 1798.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Clarke, of Salford, co. Warwick [E., 1617] on 2 November 1777.1 He matriculated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, on 16 May 1778.1 He lived at Kingston, JamaicaG.1

     Catherine Haughton James was born in 1793 at Hanover, Jamaica.2 She was the daughter of John Haughton James and Mary Halton.1,2 She married Sir Simon Haughton Clarke, 9th Bt., son of Sir Simon Clarke, 7th Bt. and Anne Haughton, on 9 April 1814 at St. Marylebone, London, England.1,2 She died on 13 August 1837 at Oak Hill, East Barnet, Hertfordshire, England.1,2 Her will was proven (by probate) in January 1839.1
     From 9 April 1814, her married name became Clarke.1
