     James Dwight Akers was born in 1904.1 He is the son of Charles Edmund Akers and Charlotte Mabel Dwight.2 He married, firstly, Dorothy Helen Fellows on 17 July 1928.1 He married, secondly, Pamela Corrie Bowmann on 12 September 1946.1 He married, thirdly, Lilian Alice Bentley on 7 November 1960.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Grenadier Guards.1
