Sir John Chichester, 4th Bt. was baptised on 2 January 1688/89.1 He was the son of Sir Arthur Chichester, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Drewe.2 He married, firstly, Anne Leigh, daughter of John Leigh, before 1718.3 He married, secondly, Frances Quicke, daughter of Andrew Quicke, in 1733.1 He died on 2 September 1740 at age 51.1 He was buried on 10 September 1740 at Sherwell, Devon, England.3 His will (dated 4 February 1740) was probated on 22 November 1740.3
Sir John Chichester, 4th Bt. succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Chichester, of Raleigh, co. Devon [E., 1641] on 3 February 1716/17.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1734 and 1740.1 He lived at Youlston, Devon, England.1 He also had five daughters.1

Sir John Chichester, 5th Bt. was baptised on 26 March 1721 at Sherwell, Devon, England.3 He was the son of Sir John Chichester, 4th Bt. and Anne Leigh.2 He married Frances Chudleigh, daughter of Sir George Chudleigh, 4th Bt. and Frances Davie, before 1752.1 He died on 18 December 1784 at age 63 at London, England.3 He was buried on 30 December 1784 at Ashton, Exeter, Devon, England.3 He died intestate and his estate was administered in February 1785.3
Sir John Chichester, 5th Bt. matriculated at Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 13 April 1739.3 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Chichester, of Raleigh, co.
