Rt. Rev. Hon. George Pelham was born on 13 October 1766.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Pelham, 1st Earl of Chichester and Anne Frankland.2 He married Mary Rycroft, daughter of Sir Richard Rycroft, 1st Bt., in 1792.1 He died in 1827, without issue.1
