     Brigadier Edward John Clervaux Chaytor was born on 16 November 1903.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor and Louisa Jane Collins.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Frances Morgan Vlieland, daughter of Charles Archibald Vlieland, on 12 November 1938.1 He married, secondly, Carina Mary Marcelle (?) on 28 October 1970.1 He died on 27 November 1976 at age 73, without issue.1
     He was educated at Wanganui Collegiate School, Wanganui, New Zealand.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.1

      From 12 November 1938, her married name became Chaytor.

Sir Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor and Louisa Jane Collins.2 She married Colonel Sir Robert Eric Sherlock Gooch, 11th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Vere Sherlock Gooch, 10th Bt. and Florence Meta Draper, on 10 November 1926.1 She died on 1 March 1974 at age 73.1
      From 10 November 1926, her married name became Gooch.1

     Colonel Sir Robert Eric Sherlock Gooch, 11th Bt. was born on 6 May 1903.2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Vere Sherlock Gooch, 10th Bt. and Florence Meta Draper.3 He married Katharine Clervaux Chaytor, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Walter Clervaux Chaytor and Louisa Jane Collins, on 10 November 1926.1 He died on 13 November 1978 at age 75.2
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1941.2 He was commander of the 1st Household Cavalry Regiment between November 1942 and December 1944.2 He was Colonel of the Household Cavalry between 1944 and 1946.2 He held the office of Member of the East Suffolk County Council in 1946.2 He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Gooch, of Benacre Hall, Suffolk [G.B., 1746] on 7 July 1946.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Suffolk in 1950.2 He was admitted to Gentleman-at-Arms between 1950 and 1973.2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1973.2
