     Sir William Keith, 4th of Inverugie was the son of Sir Gilbert Keith, 3rd of Inverugie, 1st of Ludquhairn and unknown wife Ogston of Ludquhairn.2 He married Janet Dunbar, daughter of Sir James Dunbar and Eupheme Dunbar, before 31 March 1476.2 He died in 1521.2 He died in 1521.2
     He was also known as Sir William Keith, 4th of Inverugie.2

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1869 in the Rifle Brigade.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Youghal between 1869 and 1874.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wareham between 1880 and 1885.2 He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Dorset Yeomanry Cavalry.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Middlesex.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset.2
