      Lt.-Cdr. Thomas Gerald Auckland Moncreiffe usually went by his middle name of Gerald.1 He was educated at H.M.S. Britannia, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.1
