Walter Hore-Ruthven1

     Walter Hore-Ruthven was born on 6 June 1784.2 He was the son of William Hore and Eleanor Catherine Bradstreet.3 He married Mary Elizabeth Thornton Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland, daughter of James Ruthven, 6th Lord Ruthven of Freeland and Lady Mary Elizabeth Leslie, on 13 October 1806.1 He died on 16 April 1878 at age 93.2
     He was given the name of William Hore at birth.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Wexford in 1828.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Wexford.2 In 1853 his name was legally changed to Waler Hore-Ruthven.1 He lived at Harperstown, Taghmon, County Wexford, Ireland.2

William Hore1

     William Hore was the son of Walter Hore-Ruthven and Mary Elizabeth Thornton Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland.2 He married Dells Honoria Lowen, daughter of Lt.-Col. Pierce Lowen, on 16 May 1836.1 He died on 12 May 1847.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the service of the 75th Regiment.1

     Dells Honoria Lowen was born circa 1819.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Pierce Lowen.2 She married William Hore, son of Walter Hore-Ruthven and Mary Elizabeth Thornton Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland, on 16 May 1836.1 She died on 9 November 1883.1
      From 16 May 1836, her married name became Hore.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 51st Regiment.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Quebec Artillery.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Brecon.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1
