Lady Jean Ruthven was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Patrick Ruthven, 1st and last Earl of Brentford and Jane Henderson.2 She married James Forrester, 2nd Lord Forrester of Corstorphine, son of Maj.-Gen. William Baillie and Janet Bruce, before July 1661.1 She died after October 1668.1

James Forrester, 2nd Lord Forrester of Corstorphine was born on 29 October 1629.2 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. William Baillie and Janet Bruce.2 He married by contract, firstly, Hon. Joanna Forrester, daughter of George Forrester, 1st Lord Forrester of Corstorphine and Christine Livingston, on 15 December 1649.2 He married, secondly, Lady Jean Ruthven, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Patrick Ruthven, 1st and last Earl of Brentford and Jane Henderson, before July 1661.1 He died on 26 August 1679 at age 49 at Corstorphine, Midlothian, ScotlandG, murdered by Christian Nimmo, niece of his first wife.2
He was given the name of James Baillie at birth.3 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Forrester of Corstorphine [S., 1633] on 10 August 1652.2

Elizabeth Ruthven is the daughter of William Ruthven, 1st Lord Ruthven and Isabel Livingstone.2 She married, firstly, William Hay, 5th Earl of Erroll, son of William Hay, 4th Earl of Erroll and Christian Lyon.1 She married by contract, secondly, Ninian Ross, 3rd Lord Ross of Halkhead, son of John Ross, 2nd Lord Ross of Halkhead, on 12 December 1540.3
After her marriage, Elizabeth Ruthven was styled as Countess of Erroll. Her married name became Hay.1 From 12 December 1540, her married name became Ross.3
