     Archibald Carmichael was the son of John Carmichael of that Ilk and Elizabeth Somerville.1 He married Jonet Hume, daughter of George Hume of Edrom.1 He died before 14 May 1635.1
     Archibald Carmichael lived at Edrom, Berwickshire, Scotland.1 In 1566 he was a joint murderer of David Rizzo.1
