     Lady Margaret Douglas was the daughter of William Douglas, 1st Earl of Queensberry and Lady Isabel Kerr.1,2 A contract for the marriage of Lady Margaret Douglas and James Johnstone, 1st Earl of Hartfell was signed on 29 November 1622.2 She died after 1640.2
     Her married name became Johnstone. After her marriage, Lady Margaret Douglas was styled as Baroness Johnstone on 20 June 1633.

     Ruth Beatrice Meyer-Bechtler was born circa 1925.2 She was the daughter of Leo Meyer-Bechtler.1 She married Robert Alexander Lindsay, 29th Earl of Crawford, son of David Alexander Robert Lindsay, 28th Earl of Crawford and Mary Katherine Cavendish, on 27 December 1949.1 She died on 2 October 2021.2
     Her married name became Lindsay. After her marriage, Ruth Beatrice Meyer-Bechtler was styled as Countess of Crawford on 13 December 1975.
