     Colonel Sir Ralph Stephenson Clarke was born on 17 August 1892.² He was the son of Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke and Edith Gertrude Godman.^3,4 He married Rebekah Mary Buxton, daughter of Gerald Buxton and Lucy Ethel Pease, on 15 December 1921.¹ He died on 9 May 1970 at age 77.⁵
     He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.)¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.⁵ He graduated from King's College School, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)^1,5 He gained the rank of officer in the Sussex Yeomanry.⁵ He fought in the First World War, in Gallipoli, Palestine and Egypt.⁵ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for East Grinstead between 1936 and 1955.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of East Sussex in 1937.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Artillery.⁵ He fought in the Second World War, in Iraq, Iran and Sicily, and was mentioned in despatches.⁵

     Robert Nunn Stephenson Clarke was born on 17 April 1925.¹ He was the son of Colonel Sir Ralph Stephenson Clarke and Rebekah Mary Buxton.² He married Juana Nidia Gereth Bickersteth-Wheeler, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Bickersteth-Wheeler, on 23 April 1940.¹ He and Juana Nidia Gereth Bickersteth-Wheeler were divorced in 1967.¹ He died on 17 November 1987 at age 62 at Brighton, Sussex, England.³
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve.¹

     Lt.-Col. John Bickersteth-Wheeler gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 15th Hussars.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹
