     Robert fitz Maldred, Lord of Raby was born circa 1170 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Maldred fitz Dolfin, Lord of Raby and unknown de Stuteville. He married Isabel de Neville, daughter of Geoffrey (VI) de Neville and Emma de Bulmer.3 He died between 25 June 1242 and 26 May 1248.1
     He gained the title of Lord of Raby, co. Durham [Feudal].1 He was Commissioner to collect an aid (irregular tax) in Northumberland in 1230.1 He gained the title of Lord of Brancepeth, co. Durham [Feudal].1 He fought in the King Henry II's campaign against the Welsh in August 1241.1

     Isabel de Neville was born circa 1176 at Brancepeth, County Durham, EnglandG.2 She was the daughter of Geoffrey (VI) de Neville and Emma de Bulmer.1 She married, firstly, Robert fitz Maldred, Lord of Raby, son of Maldred fitz Dolfin, Lord of Raby and unknown de Stuteville.3 She married, secondly, Gilbert de Brakenberg on 26 May 1248.1,4 She died before May 1254.1

     Geoffrey (VI) de Neville was born before 1145.1 He was the son of Gilbert (II) de Neville.1 He married Emma de Bulmer, daughter of Bertram de Bulmer, Lord of Brancepeth, before 1176.1 He died before 1193.1
     He held the office of a Justice in Yorkshire in 1184.1

     Emma de Bulmer was the daughter of Bertram de Bulmer, Lord of Brancepeth.1 She married, firstly, Geoffrey de Valoignes before 1169.1 She married, secondly, Geoffrey (VI) de Neville, son of Gilbert (II) de Neville, before 1176.1 She died before 1208.1
     From before 1169, her married name became de Valoignes.1

     Geoffrey (VII) de Neville was born circa 1197 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Robert fitz Maldred, Lord of Raby and Isabel de Neville.1 He married Joan de Monmouth, daughter of John de Monmouth, circa 1222 in a Raby, Co. Durham, England marriage.2 He died before 29 September 1242 at Raby, County Durham, EnglandG.2
     His name was legally changed to Geoffrey de Neville which was his mother's name, because of the vast estates she had brought with her (notably Brancepeth, and Sheriff-Hutton in North Yorkshire and land in Lincolnshire.)1 He was given the name of Geoffrey fitz Robert at birth.1
