     Carnegie Long was born in 1855 at Upham, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of Walter Jervis Long and Emily Jane Gale.1 He married Emily Foster Barham, daughter of Eustace Foster Barham and Ellen Hore, circa 1880.1 He died on 18 October 1886 at Somerset, England, from congestion of the lungs.1
