     James Butler was the son of William Paul Butler and Henrietta Nixon.2 He married Maria Charlton, daughter of Reverend Charles Charlton.1 He died on 2 February 1856.1
     James Butler held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Carlow.1 He lived at Broomville, County Carlow, Ireland.1

     William Paul Butler was born on 13 April 1817.1 He was the son of James Butler and Maria Charlton.2 He married Letitia Maria Gray, daughter of John Gray, on 28 October 1846.1 He died in August 1861 at age 44.1

     Charles James John Butler was born on 24 October 1852.1 He was the son of William Paul Butler and Letitia Maria Gray.2 He married Elizabeth Frances Massy Bennett, daughter of George Lethem Bennett, on 16 March 1893.1 He died on 6 February 1938 at age 85.1
     Charles James John Butler gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment.1
