     Maj.-Gen. Sir James Ainsworth Campden Gabriel Eyre was born on 2 November 1930.1 He was the son of Edward Joseph Eyre and Hon. Dorothy Elizabeth Anne Pelline Lyon-Dalberg-Acton.1 He married Monica Ruth Esther Smyth, daughter of Michael Joseph Smyth, on 20 December 1967.1 He died on 3 January 2003 at age 72.2
     He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He graduated from Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1970 in the Blues and Roys (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dargoons.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1975.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1978.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1980.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1983 in the Household Division.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1986.1 He was a director of Westminster Associates Ltd. in 1989.1 He lived in 1999 at Somerville House, East Garston, Berkshire, EnglandG.1

Sir James Ainsworth Campden Gabriel Eyre, son of Edward Joseph Eyre and Hon. Dorothy Elizabeth Anne Pelline Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, on 20 December 1967.1 She died on 27 March 2016 at age 80.2
     From 20 December 1967, her married name became Eyre.1
