     Elizabeth Jane McEwan was born in 1881 at Clive, New Zealand.1 She was the daughter of James Blane McEwan and Elizabeth Watson.1 She married Lionel John Gordon Brabant, son of Herbert William Brabant and Rosetta Johnston, in January 1927 at Hastings, New Zealand. She died on 11 December 1934 at Napier, New Zealand.1
     From January 1927, her married name became Brabant.1
