     Gilbert de Clare, 1st Earl of Hertford was born before 1115.1 He was the son of Richard FitzGilbert and Alice de Meschines.1 He died in 1152, unmarried.1 He was buried at Clare Priory, Clare, County Clare, Ireland.1
     Gilbert de Clare, 1st Earl of Hertford succeeded to the title of 4th Lord of Clare [feudal baron] in 1136.1 He was created 1st Earl of Hertford [England] circa 1138.1

     From before 1630, her married name became Swift.1 From before 16 July 1630, her married name became Crichton.

     Thomas Clare was the son of Richard de Clare, 1st Lord Clare and Joan (?).1 He died before 1321, as a minor.1 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 10 April 1321.1
