     David Wemyss was the son of Sir David Wemyss of Wemyss and Mariota Towers.1 He married, thirdly, Eupheme Kinninmonth.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Cunningham in 1553.1 He married, secondly, Janet Bethune, daughter of John Bethune, 7th of Balfour and Helen Melville, in 1577.2 He died in February 1593/94.1
     He gained the rank of Army Captain.1 He lived at Strathardie, Scotland.1 He lived at Dron, Scotland.1
