     He lived in 1881 at Swinfen and Packington, Staffordshire, EnglandG.2,3 He fought in the Tibet expedition in 1904.3 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) on 13 December 1904.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1915, where he was wounded.3 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) on 1 January 1919.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Fusiliers.1 He lived in 1940 at The Manor House, King's Sutton, Banbury, EnglandG.3

     Eleanor Sarah Bankes is the daughter of William John Bankes and Eleanor Starkie Letterewe Bankes.2 She married, firstly, Hon. Robert Joseph Gerard-Dicconson, son of Robert Tolver Gerard, 1st Baron Gerard of Bryn and Harriet Clifton, on 19 April 1888.3 She married, secondly, Mark Fenwick on 12 November 1925.3
     She lived Abbotswood.3 From 19 April 1888, her married name became Gerard-Dicconson. From 12 November 1925, her married name became Fenwick.1

Robert Joseph Gerard-Dicconson was born on 8 August 1857.2 He was the son of Robert Tolver Gerard, 1st Baron Gerard of Bryn and Harriet Clifton.2 He married Eleanor Sarah Bankes, daughter of William John Bankes and Eleanor Starkie Letterewe Bankes, on 19 April 1888.2 He died on 16 September 1918 at age 61.2
     He was given the name of Robert Joseph Gerrard at birth.2 In 1896 his name was legally changed to Robert Joseph Gerard-Dicconson by Royal Licence.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the 3rd Battalion, King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.2 He lived at Wrightington Hall, Lancashire, EnglandG.2
