     John Duff was born on 2 January 1776.¹ He was the son of John Duff and Helen Duff.¹ He died before 1789.¹

     Bathia Duff was born on 13 March 1778.¹ She was the daughter of John Duff and Helen Duff.¹ She died, in infancy.¹

     Jessie Mona Duff was born on 2 September 1843.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs and Emma Haines.¹ She married Reverend Courtenay Moore, son of Alexander Moore and Mary Mitchell, on 15 April 1869 at Bakewell, Derbyshire, England^G.¹ She died on 31 December 1936 at age 93.²
     From 15 April 1869, her married name became Moore.¹

     Louisa Dunbar was born on 11 April 1788.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Benjamin Dunbar of Hempriggs, 3rd Bt. and Janet Mackay.² She married Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton, son of John Duff and Helen Duff, on 17 September 1805.¹ She died on 10 June 1865 at age 77 at Auchintoul, Scotland^G.¹
     From 17 September 1805, her married name became Duff.¹

     Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs was born in 1808.¹ He was the son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar.¹ He married Emma Haines, daughter of Gregory Haines, in 1832 at Ireland^G.¹ He died on 7 December 1897 at Duddingston, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 92nd Highlanders.² He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Dunbar, of Hempriggs, co. Caithness [N.S., 1706] on 28 August 1875, de jure.²

     Emma Haines is the daughter of Gregory Haines.² She married Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs, son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar, in 1832 at Ireland^G.¹
     From 1832, her married name became Duff.¹

     Louisa Duff was born circa 1833.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs and Emma Haines.¹ She died circa 1845.¹

     Helen Emma Duff was born circa 1835.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs and Emma Haines.¹ She died on 25 February 1923.¹

     Garden Duff-Dunbar of Hempriggs and Ackergill was born circa 1838.¹ He was the son of Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs and Emma Haines.¹ He married Jane Louisa Duff, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop, on 26 September 1877.¹ He died on 1 June 1889.¹
     He was given the name of Garden Duff at birth.¹ In 1875 his name was legally changed to Garden Duff-Dunbar.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He gained the rank of Officer in the 79th Regiment Cameron Highlanders.²

     Jane Louisa Duff was born on 24 January 1856.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. James Duff of Knockleith and Jane Bracken Dunlop.¹ She married Garden Duff-Dunbar of Hempriggs and Ackergill, son of Captain Benjamin Duff of Hempriggs and Emma Haines, on 26 September 1877.¹ She died in 1949.¹ She was also reported to have died in 1947.²
     From 26 September 1877, her married name became Duff-Dunbar.¹
