     Beatrice Eliott-Drake Briscoe was born on 26 July 1897.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Henry Meyrick Eliott-Drake Briscoe and Louisa Mary Robinson.1 She married, firstly, Ivor Herbert McClure, son of Rev. Canon Edmund McClure, on 21 February 1925.1 She and Ivor Herbert McClure were divorced in 1950.1 She married, secondly, Alan Colin Campbell-Orde, son of Colin Ridley Campbell-Orde and Winifred Harriet Stewart, on 27 October 1951.1 She died on 20 November 1989 at age 92.1
     From 21 February 1925, her married name became McClure.1 From 27 October 1951, her married name became Campbell-Orde.3

     Alan Colin Campbell-Orde was born on 4 October 1898.2 He was the son of Colin Ridley Campbell-Orde and Winifred Harriet Stewart.1,2 He married Beatrice Eliott-Drake Briscoe, daughter of Reverend Henry Meyrick Eliott-Drake Briscoe and Louisa Mary Robinson, on 27 October 1951.1 He died on 18 April 1992 at age 93.1
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, EnglandG.2 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.2 He gained the rank of Flight Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Air Service.2 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.2 He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.) in 1919.2 He was Instructor and Advisor to the Chinese Government in 1921 at Peking, ChinaG.2 He was Instructor and then Chief Test Pilot for W G Armstrong-Whitworth Aircraft Ltd between 1924 and 1936.2 He was Operational Manager for British Airways and Imperial Airways between 1936 and 1940.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Aeronautical Society (F.R.Ae.S.)2 He was Operational Director of BOAC between 1940 and 1943.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1943.2 He was on special duties forBOAC with Transport Command, Royal Air Force between 1943 and 1944.2 He was Assistant to the Chairman of BOAC between 1944 and 1946.2 Between 1946 and 1957 Development Director for BOAC.2 He was an aviation consultant in 1958.2
