     Maj.-Gen. John Blakiston-Houston was born on 18 April 1881.¹ He was the son of John Blakiston-Houston and Marian Gertrude Streatfeild.¹ He married, firstly, Louise Henrietta Leconte, daughter of Gustave Louis Leconte, on 22 November 1910.¹ He married, secondly, Emma Millicent Coles, daughter of George Frederick Coles, on 20 May 1954.¹ He died on 14 December 1959 at age 78, without issue.¹

     Louise Henrietta Leconte was the daughter of Gustave Louis Leconte.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. John Blakiston-Houston, son of John Blakiston-Houston and Marian Gertrude Streatfeild, on 22 November 1910.¹ She died on 11 January 1952.¹
      From 22 November 1910, her married name became Blakiston-Houston.¹
