Elizabeth Sedley

     Elizabeth Sedley was the daughter of Sir Charles Sedley, 1st Bt.1 She married Sir Robert Burdett, 4th Bt., son of Robert Burdett and Hon. Elizabeth Tracy, on 6 November 1739.1 She died on 24 August 1747.1 She died intestate and her estate was administered in January 1812.1
     Her married name became Burdett.

     John Campbell Arbuthnott was born on 6 April 1858.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Hugh Arbuthnott and Susannah Morrison Campbell.1 He married Jeannie Sinclair Hamilton, daughter of Robert Hamilton, on 21 July 1887.2 He died on 20 May 1923 at age 65.1
     He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1879 and 1914.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1908.2

     Sir William Cornwallis was the son of Sir Thomas Cornwallis and Anne Jerningham.1,2 He married, firstly, Lucy Neville, daughter of John Neville, 4th Lord Latymer and Lady Lucy Somerset.3 He married Jane Meautys, daughter of Hercules Meautys.3
     He acquired the Scampston and Earls Court (Kensington) properties through his first wife.3 He lived at Brome, Suffolk, EnglandG.1

     Elizabeth Cornwallis was the daughter of Sir William Cornwallis and Lucy Neville.1 She married, firstly, Sir William Sandys, son of Sir Walter Sandys and Lady Mabel Wriothesley, in 1592.1 She married, secondly, Richard Lumley, 1st Viscount Lumley of Waterford, son of Roger Lumley and Anne Kurtwich, on 11 May 1630.1 She died circa 31 January 1657/58.1 She was buried on 2 February 1657/58.1
     From 1592, her married name became Sandys. After her marriage, Elizabeth Cornwallis was styled as Viscountess Lumley of Waterford on 11 May 1630. From 11 May 1630, her married name became Lumley.

     Anne Cornwallis was the daughter of Sir William Cornwallis and Lucy Neville.1 She married Archibald Campbell, 7th Earl of Argyll, son of Colin Campbell, 6th Earl of Argyll and Lady Anne Keith, on 30 November 1610 at St. Botolph's, Bishopsgate, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 12 January 1634/35 at Drury Lane, London, EnglandG.1 She was buried on 13 January 1634/35 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1
     After her marriage, Anne Cornwallis was styled as Countess of Argyll on 30 November 1610. From 30 November 1610, her married name became Campbell. She was an authoress of some note.1
