Commander Thomas Hompesch Christian was born circa 1810.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Hood Hanway Christian and Harriet Shute.1 He died on 6 January 1858 at Ryde, Isle of Wight, England.1 He was buried at Northwood, Cowes, Isle of Wight, England.1

Sophia Christian was the daughter of George Jackson Christian and Sophia Raikes.1 She died on 24 November 1857 at Lucknow, India, in prison, 'kindly tended by Miss Orr and Miss Jackson, who were later rescued'.1
