     Godefroi, Comte de Verdun was born between 935 and 940.2 He was the son of Gozelo von Niederlothringen Graf im Ardennengau and Oda von Lothringen.3,2 He married Mathildis Billung von Sachsen, daughter of Hermann Billung Herzog von Sachsen and Hildesiut (?), circa 963.2 He died on 3 September 998.2
