     Malcolm Borthwick was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Gordon Highlanders.1 He was a director of Thomas Borthwick & Sons in 1975.1 He lived in 2003 at Heriot, Midlothian, Scotland.1

     Dorothy Mary Prudence Barker usually went by her middle name of Prudence.1 From 2 August 1966, her married name became Borthwick.1
