     Major Frederick Sheward Cartwright was the son of William George Cartwright.1 He married Maude Julia Blake, daughter of Sir Valentine Blake, 14th Bt. and Camilla Eugenia Combe, on 6 June 1901.1 He died on 12 December 1942.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 4th Battalion, Connaught Rangers.1
