     Admiral Kenelm Somerville, 16th Lord Somerville was born on 14 November 1787.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Hugh Somerville and Mary Digby.3,4 He married Frances Louisa Hayman, daughter of John Hayman, on 3 September 1833.2 He died on 19 October 1864 at age 76.2
     He succeeded to the title of 16th Lord Somerville [S., 1444] on 3 June 1842.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.5
