     Edmond William Elton was born on 14 December 1822.3 He was the son of Sir Charles Abraham Elton, 6th Bt. and Sarah Smith.2 He married Lucy Maria Rice, daughter of Reverend John Morgan Rice, in June 1845.3 He married Clementina Sandryk in 1850.3 He died on 2 December 1859 at age 36.3
