     Air Chief Marshal Sir John Alexander Carlisle Aiken was born on 22 December 1921.2 He was the son of Thomas Leonard Aiken and Margaret Tannahill.2 He married Pamela Jane Bartlett in 1948.2 He died on 31 May 2005 at age 83.2
     He was educated at Birkenhead School, Birkenhead, Cheshire, England.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of officer in 1941 in the service of the Royal Air Force.2 He was Commander of the British Forces Near East.3 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1967.2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1973.1 He was Director General of Intelligence between 1978 and 1981.2

     John Reedham Erskine Berney was born on 31 March 1929.1 He was the son of Major Sir Thomas Reedham Berney, 10th Bt. and Marjorie Agnew Erskine Gill.1 He married Hon. Jean Davina Stuart, daughter of James Gray Stuart, 1st Viscount Stuart of Findhorn and Lady Rachel Cavendish, on 27 July 1951.1 He died on 24 July 1952 at age 23 at Korea, killed in action.1
     He was educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown, Cape Province, South Africa.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Norfolk Regiment.1 He fought in the Korean War, where he was mentioned in despatches posthumously.1
