Sir James Long, 5th Bt. was born circa 1682.1 He was the son of James Long and Susan Strangways.1 He was baptised at Melbury, Dorchester, Dorset, England.2 He married Hon. Henrietta Greville, daughter of Fulke Greville, 5th Baron Brooke of Beauchamps Court and Sarah Dashwood, on 9 June 1702 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England.1 He died on 16 March 1728/29.1 He was buried at Draycot, Wiltshire, England.1
