     Major Robert Charles Sanford Barclay was born on 14 February 1918.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Colville Adrian de Rune Barclay and Sarita Enriqueta Ward.1 He married, firstly, Camilla Boughey, daughter of Sir George Menteth Boughey, 9th Bt. and Noel Evelyn Glass, on 29 January 1941.1 He and Camilla Boughey were divorced in 1964.1 He married, secondly, Alice Molly Blackman, daughter of Sidney Blackman, on 6 March 1964.1 He died on 24 January 2001 at age 82.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Intelligence Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Kent in 1960.1

     Camilla Boughey was born on 9 December 1916.2 She was the daughter of Sir George Menteth Boughey, 9th Bt. and Noel Evelyn Glass.1,2 She married Major Robert Charles Sanford Barclay, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Colville Adrian de Rune Barclay and Sarita Enriqueta Ward, on 29 January 1941.1 She and Major Robert Charles Sanford Barclay were divorced in 1964.1 She died on 4 May 1997 at age 80.1
     From 29 January 1941, her married name became Barclay.1

     Sir George Menteth Boughey, 9th Bt. was born on 28 March 1879.2 He was the son of Colonel George Fletcher Ottley Boughey and Harriet Rose Amy Stuart-Menteth.1 He married Noel Evelyn Glass, daughter of James George Henry Glass, on 1 February 1913. He died on 28 June 1959 at age 80.2
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was in the Indian Civil Service between 1901 and 1916.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.2 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Fletcher, of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Betley Court, co. Stafford [G.B., 1798] on 6 March 1927.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1928.2
