     Vice-Admiral James William Rivett-Carnac was born on 12 February 1891.2 He was the son of Rev. Sir Clennel George Rivett-Carnac, 6th Bt.2 He died on 9 October 1970 at age 79.2
     Vice-Admiral James William Rivett-Carnac fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was decorated with the award of Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).3 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice.2 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1944.2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1945.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Suffolk in 1958.2 He lived at Fornham House, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.1

     James Harry Scarlett, 9th Baron Abinger was born on 28 May 1959.1 He is the son of James Richard Scarlett, 8th Baron Abinger and Isla Carolyn Rivett-Carnac.1 He married Tracy Cloutier, daughter of Normand Cloutier, on 19 August 1995.2
     James Harry Scarlett, 9th Baron Abinger was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.).2 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.).2 He was invested as a Fellow, Linnean Society of the Imperial College (F.L.S.).2 He lived in 1999 at 16 Thorncliffe Road, London, England.2 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baron Abinger, of Abinger, Surrey and of the city of Norwich [U.K., 1835] on 23 September 2002.3
