     Mary South was the daughter of Sir Richard South and Elizabeth Gosson.¹ She married Sir John Aubrey, 1st Bt., son of Sir Thomas Aubrey and Mary Maunsell, before 1650.¹ She died between March 1679 and July 1680.¹ She died intestate and her estate was administered on 5 July 1680.¹
     From before 1650, her married name became Aubrey.¹

     Sir Richard South was a goldsmith.¹ He lived at Cheapside, London, England^G.¹

     Elizabeth Gosson is the daughter of Richard Gosson.¹

     Sir John Aubrey, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1650.¹ He was the son of Sir John Aubrey, 1st Bt. and Mary South.¹ He married, firstly, Margaret Lowther, daughter of Sir John Lowther, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Hare, on 1 March 1678/79 at St. James', Clerkenwell, London, England^G.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Lewis, daughter of William Lewis and Margaret Banaster, after 1691.¹ He died in September 1700 at Boarstall, Buckinghamshire, England^G, after a fall from his horse.¹ He was buried at Llantrithyd, Glamorgan, Wales^G.¹
     He matriculated at Jesus College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 29 October 1668.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Aubrey, of Llantrithyd, co. Glamorgan [E., 1660] in March 1679.¹ He held the office of Sheriff of Glamorganshire from 1685 to 1686.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Brackley between 1698 and 1700.¹

     Margaret Lowther was born on 27 April 1658.¹ She was the daughter of Sir John Lowther, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Hare.¹ She married Sir John Aubrey, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Aubrey, 1st Bt. and Mary South, on 1 March 1678/79 at St. James', Clerkenwell, London, England^G.¹ She died after June 1680.¹
     From 1 March 1678/79, her married name became Aubrey.¹

     Kathleen Margaret Aubrey-Fletcher was born on 15 January 1884.¹ She was the daughter of Sir Lancelot Aubrey-Fletcher, 5th Bt. and Emily Harriet Wade.¹ She married Captain Hugh Carleton Charsley Tufnell, son of Carleton Fowell Tufnell, on 20 November 1916.¹ She died on 27 February 1959 at age 75, leaving issue.¹
     From 20 November 1916, her married name became Tufnell.¹
