     Richard Talbot was the son of Richard Talbot, 4th Lord Talbot and Ankaret Lestrange, Baroness Strange (of Blackmere).1
     He held the office of Archbishop of Dublin from 1417 to 1449.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor of Ireland from 1423 to April 1426.1 He held the office of Lord Chancellor of Ireland from October 1426 to 1431.1 He held the office of Lord Depute of Ireland from 1435 to 1437.1 He held the office of Lord Justice of Ireland.1 He held the office of Lord Depute of Ireland between 1447 and 1449.1

     Lady Joan Talbot is the daughter of General John Talbot, 1st Earl of Shrewsbury and Maud de Neville, Baroness Furnivalle.1 A settlement for the marriage between her and James de Berkeley, 1st Lord Berkeley was made on 25 July 1457.1,2 She married, secondly, Edmund Hungerford before 26 March 1474.3
     From before 26 March 1474, her married name became Hungerford.
