     Lady Dorothy Tufton was born circa 1606.1 She was the daughter of Nicholas Tufton, 1st Earl of Thanet and Lady Frances Cecil.1 She and Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Bt. obtained a marriage license on 17 April 1630.1 She died on 28 January 1635.1 She was buried at Downham, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
     From circa 17 April 1630, her married name became Assheton.1

     Elizabeth Harington was the daughter of Sir Sapcote Harington.1 She married Sir Ralph Assheton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Ralph Assheton, 1st Bt. and Dorothy Bellingham, on 3 February 1643/44 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 8 June 1686.1 She was buried at New Chapel, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 7 August 1684) was proven (by probate) on 25 June 1686.1
     From 3 February 1643/44, her married name became Assheton.1

     Sir Edmund Assheton, 3rd Bt. was born in 1620.1 He was the son of Sir Ralph Assheton, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Shuttleworth.1 He died on 31 October 1695 at Whalley, Lancashire, EnglandG, unmarried.1
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 3 November 1648.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Assheton, of Leverr, co. Lancaster [E., 1620] on 30 January 1679/80, and subsequently 'of Whalley Abbey and of Downham, Lancashire.1'

     Sir John Assheton, 4th Bt. was born in 1624.1 He was the son of Sir Ralph Assheton, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Shuttleworth.2 He married Catherine Fletcher, daughter of Sir Henry Fletcher, 1st Bt..1 He died on 9 June 1696, without issue.1,3 He was buried on 18 June 1696 at Gisburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Assheton, of Leverr, co. Lancaster [E., 1620] on 31 October 1695, and subsequently 'of Whalley Abbey and of Downham, Lancashire.1'
     On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

     Catherine Fletcher was born circa 1612.1 She was the daughter of Sir Henry Fletcher, 1st Bt.1 She married, secondly, Sir John Assheton, 4th Bt., son of Sir Ralph Assheton, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Shuttleworth.1 She married, firstly, Thomas Lister, son of Thomas Lister and Jane Heber, on 20 December 1631 at Hutton, Cumberland, England.1,2 She died circa May 1676.1 She was buried on 20 May 1676 at Gisburn, Lancashire, EnglandG.1
     Her married name became Assheton.1 From 20 December 1631, her married name became Lister.1
