     Compton Charles Domvile was born in 1812.2 He was the son of Sir Compton Pocklington Domvile, 1st Bt. and Elizabeth Frances Lindsay.1,3 He married Isabella Maria Arthur, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Rt. Hon. Sir George Arthur, 1st Bt. and Eliza Ord Ussher Smith, on 19 April 1842.1 He died on 19 March 1852 at Nice, France, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Army.2
