     Sir Stephen John Arthur, 6th Bt. was born on 1 July 1953.1 He was the son of Sir Basil Malcolm Arthur, 5th Bt. and Elizabeth Rita Wells.1,2 He married Carolyn Margaret Diamond, daughter of Burnie Lawrence Diamond, in 1978.1 He and Carolyn Margaret Diamond were divorced.1 He died on 15 May 2010 at age 56.3
     He was educated at Timaru Boy's High School, Timaru, New Zealand.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Arthur, of Upper Canada [U.K., 1841] in 1985.1
