Sir Charles Parry Hobhouse, 3rd Bt. was born on 2 January 1825.2 He was the son of Henry William Hobhouse and Mary Anne Palmer.2 He married, firstly, Edith Lucy Turton, daughter of Sir Thomas Edward Michell Turton, 2nd Bt., on 15 January 1855.2 He married, secondly, Anna Maria Sawers, daughter of Alexander Sawers, on 9 September 1868.2 He died on 30 December 1916 at age 91.2
He was with the Bengal Civil Service between 1844 and 1872.2 He held the office of Judge of the High Court [Calcutta] between 1867 and 1870.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hobhouse, of Broughton-Gifford, Bradford-on-Avon, and Monkton Farleigh, co. Wilts [U.K., 1812] on 3 June 1869.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Wiltshire.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.2
