     He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1 He held the office of Rural Dean for France.1

     Sir Frederic Cardew was born circa September 1839 at Curry Mallet, Somerset, England.2 He was the son of Frederic Cardew and Caroline Louisa Anstruther.2 He married, firstly, Clara Newton on 2 May 1865 at Calcutta, Bengal, India.2 He married, secondly, Katharine Octavia Savill on 16 June 1887 at Westmisnter, London, England.2 He died on 6 July 1921 at Bradfield, Berkshire, England.2
     He held the office of Governor of Sierra Leone.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1

William Miles Nairne Kington and Sophia Baker.1 She married Venerable Arthur Evan David, son of Reverend William David and Margaret Harriet Thomson, on 24 May 1900 at St. Margaret's Church, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1,2 She died on 23 December 1930 at age 55.1
     From 24 May 1900, her married name became David.1

William Miles Nairne Kington and Gertrude Elizabeth Urmston.1 He married, firstly, Bertha J. Tiddy, daughter of Charles J. Tiddy, in 1928 at All Saints, Langham Place, London, EnglandG.2 He married, secondly, Enid Mary Chapman, daughter of Percy Chapman, on 29 June 1940.1 He died on 2 September 1943 at age 46 at Hexham, Northumberland, EnglandG.1,2
     He was educated at Dulwich, Surrey, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918, in the Royal Flying Corps, serving in France.1 He fought in the campaign in Palestine and Egypt between 1919 and 1921.1 He fought in the campaign in West Africa between 1923 and 1925.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1940 in the 1st Battalion, Duke of Wellington's Regiment, at Dunkirk.1
