     James Russell of Aden was born in October 1797.1 He was the son of Alexander Russell of Aden and Margaret Cumming.1 He married Caroline Lambton on 11 October 1832.1 He died in January 1875 at age 77.1
     James Russell of Aden held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire.1

     Maj.-Gen. Francis Shirley Russell of Aden was born on 13 December 1840.1 He was the son of James Russell of Aden and Caroline Lambton.1 He married Philippa Augusta Maria Baillie, daughter of Rt. Hon. Colonel Henry James Baillie and Hon. Philippa Smythe, on 1 September 1888.1 He died on 21 March 1912 at age 71.1
     Maj.-Gen.
