     Admiral Robert Gordon, 16th of Abergeldie was born on 7 September 1796.1 He was the son of David Gordon, 14th of Abergeldie and Anne Biddulph.1 He died on 18 February 1869 at age 72, without issue.1
     Admiral Robert Gordon, 16th of Abergeldie fought in the bombardment of Algiers in 1816.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He lived at Deptford, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.1
