Sir Francis Seymour Haden1

     Sir Francis Seymour Haden was born on 16 September 1818.2 He was the son of Charles Thomas Haden and Emma Harrison.2 He married Deborah Delane Whistler, daughter of George Washington Whistler and Mary R. Swift, in 1847.2 He died on 1 June 1910 at age 91.2
     He was appointed Knight in 1894.2 He lived at Woodcote Park, Hampshire, EnglandG.1

     Roger Charles Seymour Thynne was born on 19 January 1885.1 He was the son of Charles Ernest Thynne and Anne Harriet Haden.1 He died on 17 January 1938 at age 52.1
     He was Temporary Secretary of the British Legation to the Holy See between 1919 and 1938.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1936.1

Eleanor Smart1

     Eleanor Smart was born circa 1742.1 She married Henry Frederick Carteret, 1st Baron Carteret of Hawnes, son of Thomas Thynne, 2nd Viscount Weymouth and Lady Louisa Carteret, on 9 July 1810 at Hawnes, Bedfordshire, EnglandG, after having been his mistress for 43 years.1 She died on 20 March 1817.1
     From 9 July 1810, her married name became Carteret.1 After her marriage, Eleanor Smart was styled as Baroness Carteret of Hawnes on 9 July 1810.

     George Thynne, 2nd Baron Carteret of Hawnes was born on 23 January 1770.1 He was the son of Thomas Thynne, 1st Marquess of Bath and Lady Elizabeth Cavendish-Bentinck.1 He married Hon. Harriet Courtenay, daughter of William Courtenay, 2nd Viscount Courtenay of Powderham Castle and Frances Clack, on 9 May 1797 at Grosvenor Street, London, EnglandG.1 He died on 19 February 1838 at age 68 at Dalkeith Palace, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, without issue.1 His will was proven (by probate) in April 1838.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Weobley between 1790 and 1812.1 He graduated from St. John's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1791 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Lord of the Treasury between 1801 and 1804.1 He held the office of Comptroller of the Household between 1804 and 1812.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 14 May 1804.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Carteret of Hawnes, co. Bedford [G.B., 1784] on 17 June 1826.1

     S/Ldr. Kenneth Francis Ferguson was born on 7 June 1911.2,3 He was the son of Charles Alexander Ferguson and Lady Edith Aline Caroline Campbell.1 He died on 14 November 1940 at age 29, killed in action, lost at sea from a bombing mission in a Whitley bomber.1
     He was educated at Wells House School, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.3 He was educated between 1925 and 1929 at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.3 He was with the Borneo Company between 1930 and 1931.3 He was commissioned in 1931 with the rank of officer, in the service of the Royal Air Force.3 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the 10 Squadron, Royal Air Force.1 He fought in the Second World War.
