     Jean Menzies was the daughter of unknown Menzies.1 She married, firstly, Gilbert Menzies before 1598.1 She married by contract, secondly, Gavin Douglas, son of William Douglas, 9th Earl of Angus and Egidia Graham, on 27 October 1598.1
     From after 27 October 1598, her married name became Douglas.1
