Henry Stafford, 1st Baron Stafford1

     Henry Stafford, 1st Baron Stafford was born on 18 September 1501.2 He was the son of Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Lady Eleanor Percy.3 He married Ursula Pole, daughter of Sir Richard Pole and Margaret Plantagenet, Countess of Salisbury, on 16 February 1518/19.4 He died on 30 April 1563 at age 61.2
     In 1522 he was granted by King Henry VIII several of his father's forfeited lands in Staffordshire and other counties.2 In 1531 he was granted the Manor and Castle of Stafford.2 He held the office of Recorder of Stafford in 1532.2 He was created 1st Baron Stafford [England] in November 1547.2 He held the office of Bencher of Middle Temple before 1551.2 He held the office of Chamberlain of the Exchequer in February 1553/54.2 On 12 February 1557/58 he was restored in blood (but not his father's titles) and by House Lords resolution he had back the precedency of the original Barony of Stafford.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire in 1559.2 He held the office of Ranger of Cannock Forest in 1560.2 He had at least seven other children.2

     Sir Arthur Pole was born between 1493 and 1499. He was the son of Sir Richard Pole and Margaret Plantagenet, Countess of Salisbury.1 He married Jane Lewknor, daughter of Sir Roger Lewknor, before 24 October 1522.2 He died after 10 May 1527.3,2
     He held the office of Gentleman of the Bedchamber to King Henry VIII in 1518.2 He held the office of Esquire of the Body in 1520.2 He was appointed Knight in 1523.2 He held the office of Lord of the Manor of Broadhurst, Sussex.2

Jane Lewknor1

     Jane Lewknor was the daughter of Sir Roger Lewknor.1 She married, firstly, Sir Christopher Pickering before 1522.2 She married, secondly, Sir Arthur Pole, son of Sir Richard Pole and Margaret Plantagenet, Countess of Salisbury, before 24 October 1522.2 She married, thirdly, Sir William Barentyne after 1527.2 She died before 12 March 1562/63.2
     From before 1522, her married name became Pickering.2 From before 24 October 1522, her married name became Pole.1,2 From after 1527, her married name became Barentyne.2

     Elizabeth Grey, Baroness Lisle was born circa 25 March 1505 posthumously.2 She was the daughter of John Grey, 2nd Viscount Lisle and Lady Marcella Howard.1,3 She married Sir Henry Courtenay, 1st and last Marquess of Exeter, son of William Courtenay, 1st Earl of Devon and Catherine Plantagenet, after June 1515.1 She died between 31 March 1519 and 12 May 1519, without issue.1,4
     She succeeded as the 3rd Baroness Lisle [E., 1444] in 1504, suo jure.5 After her marriage, Elizabeth Grey, Baroness Lisle was styled as Countess of Devon after June 1515. From after June 1515, her married name became Courtenay.

     John Grey, 2nd Viscount Lisle was born in April 1480.2 He married Lady Marcella Howard, daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk and Elizabeth Tylney.2 He died on 9 September 1504 at age 24, without male issue.2
     He gained the title of 2nd Viscount Lisle.1
