     Rt. Hon. Lord Frederick Charles Cavendish was born on 30 November 1836.2 He was the son of William Cavendish, 7th Duke of Devonshire and Lady Blanche Georgiana Howard.2 He married Hon. Lucy Caroline Lyttelton, daughter of George William Lyttelton, 4th Lord Lyttelton, Baron of Frankley and Mary Glynne, on 7 June 1864.1 He died on 6 May 1882 at age 45 at Phoenix Park, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, murdered only a few hours after his arrival in Ireland.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for the North and West Ridings of Yorkshire.2 He held the office of Junior Lord of the Treasury between 1873 and 1874.2 He held the office of Finance Secretary between 1880 and 1882.2 He held the office of Chief Secretary of Ireland in 1882.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1882.2

     Kathleen Kennedy was born on 20 February 1920 at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.G. She was the daughter of Joseph Patrick Kennedy and Rose Elizabeth FitzGerald.1 She married William John Robert Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington, son of Edward William Spencer Cavendish, 10th Duke of Devonshire and Lady Mary Alice Gascoyne-Cecil, on 6 May 1944 at London, EnglandG.1 She died on 13 May 1948 at age 28 at Sainte-Bauzille, Ardeche, FranceG, killed in a flying accident. She was buried in May 1948 at Chatsworth, EnglandG.
     Her married name became Cavendish.
