When H.M.A.V. Bounty landed on Pitcairn island in 1793, there were 28 people on board - the 9 European mutineers who choose to leave Tahiti and go into exile, 6 Polynesian men, and 13 Polynesian women and children.
Most of their descendants are contained in this database. My interest in them is a result of their descent from the ruling Christian family of the Isle of Man, combined with the high level of inter-marriage which naturally occurred within the descendants which makes them so fascinating to me to trace and document.
